Description
The No 5 Mk I was the first in a series of Mills Bombs (hand grenade) taken into service with British army in May 1915, but did not go into mass production until 1916.
Maker: S.G.B (Stourbridge Glazed Brick & Fireclay Co Ltd. Dudley) Dated September 1916
Taken from a scrap Battlefield relic.
The base has been cleaned and tested in a No 5 Mk 1 Mills to ensure the thread is ok.
I used a proper base tool, However the shaft of a screw driver works just as good.
Make sure the thread in your grenade is good and clean before fitting the base plug.
If a little tight, a drop of oil or copper slip grease will work wonders.
Goods are sent within 2 working days via a reputable worldwide insured and tracked delivery service.
